Web Development :
|
How
is it used?
The
YET club uses web development to create and design web pages
for businesses and organizations in Washington and surrounding
communities. The sites we create as a group are generally
developed as Caring Projects (please see the Caring
Projects page for more information). If you are interested
in designing websites in the future, this is a good way
to find out what it's like to have a client with specific
needs.
What do you use?
Club
members can use the high school computer labs during club
sessions or the computer at the Inspiration Cafe to work
on sites. We use a variety of web development programs,
such as:
-
Macromedia
Dreamweaver
- Macromedia Flash
-
Macromedia
Fireworks
-
Microsoft
Frontpage
Why would I want to learn
this?
Some YET members
have had the opportunity to apply the skills they developed
at YET club to acquire jobs in the community. These are
paid positions, and the work is done in the club member's
own time.
