Video Editing:

What types of projects?

YET club members have worked on several video projects in the past, including a Drug and Alcohol Awareness Video and a YET Recruitment Video.

How did you create those projects?

We went to Chambers Dam in the summer of 2004 to gather footage for the Drug and Alcohol Awareness Video. The editing was done locally in Washington County.

For the YET Recruitment Video, we went to Potter County and Penn State University several times to do the filming and editing. It took quite a few hours and a lot of hard work to put this video together.

YET members use a variety of equipment for video editing purposes, including digital camcorders, tripods, digital photos, and programs like iMovie.

Was it all work and no play?

Video editing can take a fair amount of time depending on the project. But, in the YET club there is always time for fun.

*We were able to go kayaking while at Chambers Dam.

*At Potter County, we went geocaching and visited various places in the community.

*At Penn State, we stayed at St. Joseph's retreat in the mountains and did other activities at Main Campus.

The following is a link to the recruitment video:

*Potter and Washington YET members take a break from editing at St. John's Retreat.

*YET members busy piecing together a video, frame by frame.

*The YET Recruitment Video storyboard (just like writing a paper with an introduction, body, and conclusion).

*Members from the Washington and Potter YET sites work together to gather footage for the YET Recruitment Video at Penn State.
