LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Kits:

In YET club, we use Lego Mindstorms Robotics kits to build moving robots. Programming these robots to do what you want them to do is a task done through the Robolab program on the computer. Create fast-moving cars or walking robots with this kit!

LEGO robot attachments:

Sensors can be attached to the robots to also make it do different things. Light sensors can be programmed to make the robot avoid dark places. Rotational sensors can be programmed to move specific pieces a certain degree. Touch sensors can be programmed to make robots turn around when they touch certain objects.

Robolab Software:

Robolab is used to program the robots. The software lets you program the robot with simple steps using pictures (icons) and lines (wires). This lets you controll different parts of the robot. You can also make it correspond with any attachments it has on to make it do more than before. It is interesting to make the robot interact with its environment. For example, you can attach a touch sensor and program the robot to move in a different direction when the sensor is touched.

This is a LEGO robot with touch sensor that we made in class.
